Today sees the release of the NCA-1516, a desktop network appliance powered by Intel Atom® C3000 (codenamed Denverton) CPU.
The NCA-1516 is both 5G and WiFi6 ready, its performance is supercharged with Intel® QuickAssist Technology and Intel® AES-NI, offering cryptographic acceleration and commercial-grade LAN functions in a 231mm x 200mm x 44mm (WxDxH) form factor.
Intel Atom® C3958/C3858/C3758/C3558 CPU and Intel® QuickAssist Technology together greatly boost network responsiveness and security by distributing processing power to more critical applications and by offloading computationally intensive compression and encryption/decryption tasks.
For wireless connectivity, the NCA-1516 is capable of supporting both the lightning fast mmWave (millimeter wave) 5G and the slower but more widespread Sub-6GHz 5G; and its WiFi6 capability is both 2.4GHz and 5GHz compatible.
For networking communications, the NCA-1516 comes with 6x GbE RJ45 (2x PoE+ optional) and dual 10GbE SFP+.
Other features include 1x RJ45 console, 2x USB 3.0, 1x 8GB onboard eMMC (by request), up to 64 GB DDR4 2400/2133/1866 MHz memory and support for dual adapters (optional).
