Lanner has released the LEC-2580, a high-performance Embedded Box PC powered by Intel®’s Core™ i7-6600U, Core™ i5-6300U and Core™ i3-6100U processors (codenamed Skylake). The LEC-2580’s Intel®’ 6th generation Core™ i7/i5/i3 CPU demonstrates significant performance gain over Intel’s previous generations of Core™ processors.
Noteworthy features of the LEC-2580 include four RS-232/422/485 serial ports, four USB 3.0, two USB 2.0 ports and two HDMI ports, each supporting resolution up to 3840 x 2160 at 24Hz or 2560 x 1600 at 60Hz.
Regarding networking communications, the LEC-2580 offers six 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports while its variant the LEC-2580P is built with two 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports and four PoE ports offering superior flexibility.
As far as memory, storage and expansion goes the LEC-2580 supports up to 16GB of DDR3L and has dual 2.5″ HDD/SSD with RAID 0/1 built in; its expansion capabilities are possible by way of one full-sized mini-PCIe socket with SIM card reader.
Furthermore, enabled by its fanless design, 12VDC to 30 VDC input range and 0℃ to 60℃ operating temperatures the LEC-2580 offers 24/7 availability.
Altogether, its high-performance processors, ample storage, scalable expansion rich I/O and networking communications interface the LEC-2580 is the ideal deployment for almost all IoT and Industry 4.0 automation applications, especially those involving machine vision and multi-vision.
