The global pandemic has driven the rise of a changing state of society and economy, characterized by “low-touch” contact, work from home and remote management. Integral in this change is through the usage of 5G and WiFi 6, in addition to edge computing, artificial intelligence, and security mechanisms to create a smarter and safer framework to connect enterprises, industries, and consumers.
Accelerating on this market trend of 5G and WiFi 6, forward-thinking Lanner has established a Wireless Broadband Division, located in Hsinchu city, Taiwan, to build a new enterprise wireless product line. The leading product will be the 5G/WiFi 6 ReadyWireless Access Point that integrates 10GbE LAN, PoE++ connection, 5G Sub-6/mmWave and WiFi 6 connectivity, all in one appliance. To assist with development and testing, Lanner’s Wireless Broadband Division has acquired best-in-class RF test equipments to validate wireless products, including wireless signal analyzer, shielding boxes and RF chambers.
“Many enterprises have begun to evaluate converged wireless network designs, integrating 5G and WiFi 6. Enterprise networks favor constructing a hybrid wireless network architecture, by way of using 5G for outdoor wireless, and WiFi 6 for indoor wireless network infrastructure,” said Jeans Tseng, CTO of Lanner Electronics. “Lanner saw an opportunity for wired and wireless integration in our current 5G era, and have begun to invest top-notch validation equipment and establish a R&D team to provide solution providers and system integrators with next-gen 5G/WiFi 6-ready wireless solutions for timely deployment.”
