Lanner Establishes a New Subsidiary in Japan to Offer Localized Services and Supports

Taipei, Taiwan, April 15, 2020 – Lanner Electronics, the leading network hardware provider for enterprise network security, SD-WAN, MEC and Intelligent Edge, today announced the establishment of Lanner Electronics Japan, a newly founded Japanese subsidiary headquartered in Tokyo, to strengthen Lanner’s presence by expanding its ODM/OEM services for local communication service providers and partners, and extending the company’s SDN/NFV ecosystem partnership in the region.

Today, Lanner is a world-leading provider in the design, engineering and manufacturing services of advanced and customizable network computing and Intelligent Edge appliances. Thus, the establishment of a new subsidiary in Japan not only shows the company’s commitment to offer localized services to local system integrators and service providers, but also the regional strategy to expand partnership and penetrate the market.

Lanner Electronic Japan will participate in the upcoming Interop Tokyo from April 13 to April 15, 2020. “Japan has been an important market for Lanner, particularly in the era of 5G, where hardware and software are decoupled”, said Temmy Kon, President of Lanner Electronics Japan. “We are excited to work closely together with our local software partners, including 128 Technology and NTT Lagopus, to deliver the networking hardware for enterprise SD-WAN, IT security, and MEC.

“128 Technology has teamed up with Lanner since 2017 to deploy enterprise SD-WAN services for the largest commercial managed service providers”, said Kazukuni Kuroda, Managing Director, APAC of 128 Technology. “With the establishment of Lanner Electronics Japan, we look forward to addressing near-future demands of the session-oriented, application-aware uCPE designed with load-balancing and security for various VNF applications.”.
