NCA-5220: Modular Network Appliance for Network Traffic Security, Cloud Computing and Data Centers

Today sees the release of Lanner’s NCA-5220, a network appliance powered by the Intel® Xeon® E3-2100 processor (Codenamed Coffee Lake). This 1U 19” rackmount solution can be customized with Intel® Xeon® E3 v5, Core™ i7/i5/i3, Pentium® or Celeron® processor and Intel® C246 chipset.

The NCA-5220 is positioned as a next-gen firewall, UTM and IDS/IDP gateway for network traffic security, cloud computing and data centers, it therefore can be configured with 2x GbE RJ45 for dual MGMT Intel® i210, 8x GbE RJ45 Intel® i210, 4x GbE RJ45 Intel® i350-AM4, 4x SFP LAN ports and up to 3 pairs of gen3 bypass.

The NCA-5220 comes with 2x NIC module slots for expansion and supports up to 64GB of DDR4 2666MHz system memory in either ECC or non-ECC UDIMM; for storage, there are 2x 2.5” HDD/SSD bays available. Other I/O includes 1x RJ45 console, 2x USB 3.0 and 4x keypads; also available is the optional support for 2x PCI-E *4 FH/HL and M.2 2242 B+M key.

Finally, the NCA-5220 is equipped with 4x system fan (3x default & 1x reserved) and 300W 1+1 ATX redundant PSUs.
